Meet Annabelle & Inferna — Control or Corruption Commanders
Control or corruption — the new Commander pair for the week splits between total battlefield suppression and a plague that makes enemies destroy themselves.
Annabelle — Always in Control
Exquisite, dangerous, and never off balance:
- Passive: Whenever Suppression or Stun triggers: deals damage to the affected enemy
- Turn 1: Removes all Traps and Stims from enemy cells, then deploys Stun Stims on random enemy cells
- Turn 4: Applies Suppression to a random enemy 24 times
Inferna — No Moral Principles
Dangerous and alluring in equal measure — her approach sends shivers down spines on both sides of the field:
- Turn 1: For 4 turns — “Attacked: applies Infection to the attacker”
- Turn 2: For 2 turns — “After an enemy appears: Suppresses them”
- Turn 6: Gives the enemy Commander: “Any mercenary attacked: deals damage to themself”
Captain’s Take
Annabelle’s passive is the engine here — with 24 Suppression triggers on turn 4 alone, each one converting into bonus damage, she out-tempos most defensive setups. Inferna is the anti-aggro pick: every attack into her team spreads Infection, and her turn-6 curse punishes the enemy for playing the game at all. Notably, Inferna received a rework in the August 6 rebalance the very same week — check the patch notes before committing. One week only.
